Robert Ortiz

Robert began his career at Plus One Physical Therapy in 1988, and has been in business for himself since 1990. In 1993, he founded Grand Central Physical Therapy to provide the highest level of individualized care in an outpatient setting. Robert’s experience includes work with general and sports orthopedic patients, with a concentration on the foot, knee, hip and shoulder. Robert received his Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Physical Therapy from Hunter College. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Hector Mayo, PT

Hector Mayo

A partner in Grand Central Physical Therapy since 1993, Hector has more than 25 years of experience in patient care. In addition to his private practice work, Hector was a senior physical therapist at New York Hospital for 10 years. Extensive course work has given Hector in-depth knowledge of most conditions, including those affecting the back and neck. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Manhattan College and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Hunter College. Hector is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

David Ricci, OTR/L, CHT

David Ricci

With more than 25 years of experience in occupational therapy, splinting and hand therapy, David created the dedicated Hand Therapy Center within Grand Central Physical Therapy. Treating all upper extremity conditions with a focus on hand therapy, David brings his extensive background to the treatment table. He has done fellowships in hand therapy, and worked as an adjunct professor at Touro College and Downstate University. He has worked in both private practice and outpatient hospital settings. David has a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from York College and a Master of Arts in Health Care Management from Brooklyn College. He is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and the American Society of Occupational Therapists. He currently serves on the OrthoNet Physical Therapy Advisory Board.
